Distinguishing between colonialism for economic gain, and settler colonialism (also colonizing the land), this article makes comparisons between European settlers in North America and Zionist settlers in Palestine, and how this shared history creates their close relationship today.

This statement begins "The Israeli regime enacts in all the territory it controls (Israeli sovereign territory, East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip) an apartheid regime. One organizing principle lies at the base of a wide array of Israeli policies: advancing and perpetuating the supremacy of one group - “Jews“ over another - “Palestinians." And it continues to state that the Israeli regime pursues this organizing principle in four major areas: Land, Citizenship, Freedom of movement, and Political participation.

This 14 minute video traces the history of Israeli oppression of Palestinian people and privileging of Jewish Israelis, expelling many non-Jews from their land and homes and enforcing discriminatory conditions implemented through IDs based on permitted residency locations, denial of building permits etc. It concludes that Israel is maintaining a brutal discriminatory regime against Palestinians, and we should all speak up against it.
